The image in question was taken from Google Earth and shows a part of the Southern Hemisphere that is rarely seen. “The side of planet Earth we’re not used to seeing,” wrote the user in the caption.
The Pacific Ocean — the Earth’s largest and deepest ocean — takes up almost the entire image, stretching from edge to edge.
