A woman lost her job after writing on a receipt that she hoped Trump would deport a waitress from a Mexican restaurant.
The incident took place on March 2nd when real estate agent Stephanie Lovins had a meal at Cazuelas Mexican Cantina in Columbus, Ohio.
After receiving her bill and becoming outraged at the restaurant’s “one coupon per table” policy, Lovins left an unpleasant message for the waitress who served her.
“I hope Trump deports you!” she wrote on the receipt, and also added in the tip section: “Zero, you are terrible.” The receipt photo was then shared by a restaurant employee on Facebook.
“You hate us, but love our food. What a shame, Stephanie, for not saying this to our face,” wrote the person in the post, which quickly went viral. Lovins then tried to deny her involvement, saying her credit card had been stolen.
However, her claims were revealed to be false after the restaurant reviewed its security camera footage and confirmed it was her who dined there.
After the incident, Lovins’ company, Century 21, confirmed that she had been fired from her position, stating that “hate has no place in the brand.”
