A lighthearted joke from an internet user became reality when two women decided to create a vape with a Tamagotchi that feeds on nicotine to survive.
The idea came from X (formerly Twitter), where some users joked about a company possibly launching a vape with a built-in Tamagotchi. However, this virtual pet would feed on nicotine.
With this in mind, Rebecca Chun and Lucia Camacho created the Vape-o-Gotchi, turning the idea into reality. The vape works like any other e-cigarette, but the Tamagotchi installed in it asks for more nicotine to survive. So, if the user doesn’t smoke, the pet can “die.”

The idea was presented by the duo at the Stupid Hackathon, an event that encourages the creation of absurd prototypes. It’s worth noting that the project is just a joke and will not be commercially sold.
