Lalit Patidar, a young man suffering from an extremely rare syndrome, recently broke the Guinness World Record for “hairiest face in the world”.

The 18-year-old Indian suffers from a condition called hypertrichosis, also known as werewolf syndrome, which causes abnormal hair growth on his face.

Patidar traveled to Milan, Italy, to see a trichologist, and during the consultation, it was determined that he had 201.72 hairs per square centimeter of skin, breaking the world record for the hairiest face.

Patidar, who starred in a local TV program Lo Show dei Record, said he was “speechless” to receive such an honor. “I don’t know what to say because I am so happy to receive this recognition.”

While some people with hypertrichosis shave their faces to fit into societal standards, Patidar emphasized that he has no intention of shaving his face.
