In the video posted last Saturday (26), Scott shows how he transformed the powerful Mac Mini with the M4 chip into a portable workstation.
By combining the Mac Mini with a small touchscreen, he attached a Magic Keyboard and turned his creation into a true Frankenstein of Apple technology.
Although creative, the project was expensive. Altogether, Scott spent $3,160, almost three times the cost of a MacBook Air. Additionally, it still has some limitations.

For example, even though it is portable, it can only be used when plugged into a power outlet, and there is no built-in trackpad, meaning you can only use it with a separate mouse. The final verdict, according to Scott himself, is that the project was a “noble failure.”
This is not the first time the Youtuber has tried to turn the Mac Mini into a portable computer. Previously, he had attempted to combine the Mac Mini M1 with an iPad to turn it into a laptop.
However, according to him, this latest project will not be the last. He plans to soon create a more robust version, fix some flaws, and add a battery to eliminate the need to use it plugged into a power outlet.
