The new feature, which is currently in testing phase, was announced by Match Group CEO, Bernard Kim, during a conference to present the company’s results, and reported by TechCrunch.
According to the CEO, the AI-powered photo selection function aims to eliminate the users’ difficulty in finding photos and help build their profiles.
“Sometimes, people are too excited to get into the Tinder experience… so, at that exact moment when you upload five photos, people often get nervous or uncomfortable. I really think AI can help our users build better profiles in a more efficient way that truly showcases their personalities.”
The new Tinder tool, based on artificial intelligence to assist in photo selection, does not yet have a release date.
